What is the series reference classification?
The standard cover classification describes the standard division of the steering wheel into different material sections. If there is a seam, the cover is uniform; you can optionally choose different materials or colors.
What does “12 o’clock mark” mean?
The 12 o'clock mark is a stripe on the top of the steering wheel, usually in a contrasting color or made of carbon fiber. It serves as a visual accent and provides orientation while driving.
What is the grip area?
The grip area is located on the side at 3 and 9 o'clock. Here you can choose the material and color—for example, perforated leather or Alcantara for a better grip.
What does “padding” mean?
The circumference of the steering wheel is increased by about 1 cm, providing a sportier look and a more comfortable grip.
Which materials are available?
You can choose between smooth leather, perforated leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. Each material has a different feel and appearance.
Is a heating function still usable?
If your original steering wheel had a heating function, it will usually remain intact – depending on the chosen finish. However, there is no guarantee for this for all vehicle models.
Does the conversion require registration?
Yes. The conversion generally does not require registration, as no safety-relevant changes are made. A TÜV inspection is not necessary.
